Dr.(Prof.) Chandra Shekhar Yadav is well recognized joint replacement surgeon, with an overall experience of almost 25 years in the field of Orthopaedics and has served for 22 years in AIIMS, New Delhi as a Professor – Orthopaedics – Knee & Hip Replacement surgeon and also served as a Chairman- Orthopaedics- Joint Replacement, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for approximately 20 Months. He has done various fellowships in Knee & Hip Joint Replacement abroad in Australia (Brisbane and Sydney), the USA (Dart Mouth Hitchcock Medical University) and UK (Royal Liverpool University).
Prof. C.S. Yadav is a pioneer in introducing the Unique AIIMS Cadaver Arthroplasty Course in India in 2009. This was the first of its kind in the country in the field of Joint Replacement. Since then he has regularly conducted Cadaver Arthroplasty Courses. Dr.(Prof.) Chandra Shekhar Yadav is known for his excellent results and surgical skills, which is different from many surgeons working across the globe. Prof. Yadav has been honoured with the prestigious Dr B C Roy National Award by the President of India at the President’s House on 28th March 2017 for the year 2015.
The expertise of Prof. C.S.Yadav in the field of Joint Replacement has been appreciated and included in the Limca Book of Records (for the year 2015) for performing Total Knee Joint & Total Hip Joint Replacements at the annual health camp at Leh-Laddakh district hospital. So far 139 Joint Replacements were conducted out of which 126 were Knee replacements and 13 Hip replacements in Leh and Kargil region ll July, 2017.
The Brish Medical Journal South Asia (October 2016) in an editorial has adjudged Prof. Yadav’s team as the Best Surgical Team in performing Total Knee and Hip Joint Replacements. He has been honoured with the Yash Bhar Award, the Highest Civilian award of the Government of Uttar Pradesh on 9th Feb. 2015 at Lucknow by the Chief Minister of UP.
He has been honoured with the prestigious Sri Loknath Saraf Memorial Award, by the Rajasthan Ratankar a Cultural and Social Organization on 19th July 2015 at FICCI Auditorium New Delhi by three Union Ministers of Union Gov. of India
