Dr (Prof) Sunil Kumar Chhabra

Prof Dr SK Chhabra is Head, of the Department of Pulmonary, Sleep, and Critical Care Medicine at Primus Hospital, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Prof Chhabra is the Former Director-Professor, of Vallabhbhai Patel Chest Institute, Delhi, an internationally acclaimed and well-known Institution for chest diseases. He was associated with the institute for more than three decades obtaining his postgraduate qualification from the same institute. He was in charge of the Intensive Care Unit inpatient services and the Pulmonary Function laboratory of the Institute. A physician of great repute and a highly respected teacher.

Dr Chhabra has been active in several areas of research, both basic and applied, in the discipline of Pulmonary Medicine and allied sciences. His research and clinical interests include asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease, internal lung diseases like sarcoidosis and internal fibrosis, lung infections, pulmonary functions, and health effects of air pollution. He is one of the top names in India and internationally in asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary disease and other chest diseases, and in lung function testing.
